Fleece Sale and Used Equipment Silent Auction 

The silent auction will take place Saturday, September 23rd

If the item does not sell Saturday, the seller has the option to sell it again on Sunday 

 

 

  • This is an opportunity to clean out our closets and store rooms and your loved , but no longer needed equipment, a new home.

  • The silent auction will take place Saturday of the festival.  If an item does not sell Saturday, the seller has the option to sell it again on Sunday.

  • Type of things includes: spinning wheels, looms, drum carders, warping boards, needles, books, shuttles.

  • The silent auction will take place on Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday’s auction will be from 10:00 am -3:00 pm

  • Consignments may be submitted from noon - 4:00 pm on Friday ( the day before the festival) and 9:00 am -10:30 am on Saturday of the festival.  Additional items will not be accepted for sale on Sunday.

  • Eligible items will be fiber equipment items only, items should be of good  quality and condition. The festival committee reserves the right to to refuse any item.

  • Items that will not be accepted: magazines, fiber, yarn, and farm/animal equipment

  • Unsold items must be picked up by 4:00 pm Sunday

  • There will be a commission of 15% on all sales

  • Buyers must pay for items as the bid is won and remove them by the end of the auction. Cash, check, and all major credit cards accepted.  NYS sales tax (7%) will be added to buyers price.

  • The auction is provided as a part of the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival and consignees.  Side deals to sell items for a price below minimum bid are not permitted.

 

 

Note to seller:

  • A card with a description of item is encouraged

  • To help us market this event, please submit a photo and brief description of your sale item(s) to rebecca.washfair@gmail.com. These photos will be used on our website and in social media, to promote the auction and hopefully generate more participation

  • The auction building will be locked at night and whenever unattended. Every effort will be made to ensure the safety of auction items, however neither the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival nor the Washington County Fair will be responsible for loss or damages.

Fleece Sale

 

  • Fleeces for sale should be brought in on Friday before the festival from noon to 4:00 pm or Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

  • Each fleece for sale should be packaged in a large plastic bag and include the following information: price of fleece, identification, and information about the fleece

  • Fleece sale: Saturday 10-5 & Sunday 10-4

  • Payment for fleeces will be cash, check, or credit card.

  • Commission on fleece sales: $5 per fleece valued at $50 or greater and 10% per fleece valued at less than $50 will be assessed to the seller.

  • Unsold fleeces should be picked up by seller between 4 - 5 pm on Sunday

Auction Guidelines
